Today I visit a new and a very big movie theater that’s the largest in Scandinavia and have IMAX for some movies. I was there with my son to watch a movie called “The Good Dinosaur” that we both thought was ok.
You can always get some inspiration for your home theater when you visit other theaters. This time I thought about signs because I watched the big IMAX sign in the entrance. Wouldn’t it be nice if you had some sign or signs in your home theater? Maybe one with the new Dolby Atmos/DTS X logo, your speakers or receiver logo, or one with a name you picked for your home theater, or your own/family name? You could also have signs for entrance, exit, restrooms and so on…
There are a lot of different types of signs for your home theater. There’s marquee signs, LED signs, neon signs and more.
What options do you have when you want a home theater sign? Well, you can:
- Do it yourself
- Let someone else do it or
- Get one that’s already done for you
It all depends on how much time and money you have.
If you do one yourself you can for example order a frame and get the other part separated. If you want a logo you can either order a official one from the companies who it stands for or download a high resolution image from internet (but watch out so you don’t break any copyright law). There’s a lot of frames out there and is important that it fits with the logo you have and it’s also important that it looks good in your home theater and if you have other things on your wall it also should fit with them. Here is some frames I found when I look for frames that should fit for logos:
If you let someone else do it you should be clear on what you want and what it should cost so you won’t be disappointed.
If you order some that’s already done you should take a close look at the product pictures and buy from a serious store and look up their refund policy so you can send it back if you’re disappointed.
I will edit with a list of places where you can buy signs soon….
